The New Year’s wellness resolutions happen every year, and this year is no exception. At Elan Wellness Center, we have years of experience helping residents of Tampa, Westchase, and the surrounding areas reach their wellness goals through chiropractic care. Our chiropractor will consider your goals and lifestyle when creating a treatment plan tailored to your needs. These wellness tips for the new year will help you on your path to improving your health and well-being.
New Years is a great time to schedule your annual wellness appointments. Dental cleanings, routine physicals, mammograms, and other yearly procedures should be set up as soon as possible. Get them on the schedule to get them off your mind.
Plan to start moving more in the New Year by committing to 30-60 minutes of movement a day. Whether you go for a walk, lift weights, or practice yoga, the important thing is that you are moving. Make a plan and stick to it, and soon exercise will become a habit.
Cut off the electronics well before laying down, create a more restful and peaceful bedroom, tap into melatonin or listen to guided meditations to lull you into a better sleep pattern. Studies show that without good sleep patterns, your stress hormones will rise and that will contribute to worsening health and increased weight gain.
The majority of the people you see daily are experiencing some degree of dehydration. Drinking at least 65 ounces of water a day will help get you hydrated, which contributes to a healthier body, better skin and nails, and fewer headaches. Remember, caffeinated beverages like soda and coffee do not count. Drink pure water as often as possible.
